 Groundlings Camp

  • Ages 4-7
  • Three single week sessions , Only One Week Left, June 22-26, July 13-17, July 27-31, 2020

  • 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

  • Cost: Single week - $75.00, package of all three - $200.00

Campers will participate in games, activities, and exercises that introduce children to Shakespeare and the live theatre. They will learn how to act and perform as well as create theatre in their own homes!


 

Beginning Shakespeare

  • Ages 8 - 13
  • June 22-26, July 6-10, 2020 

  • 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  • Cost: $225

The participants will begin with an exploration of the life and acting styles of William Shakespeare. This camp will introduce participants to Shakespeare's poetry, vocabulary, stage movement, and combat techniques. The campers will gain practical experience in working on Shakespearean scenes, as well as playing plenty of games.


Advanced Shakespeare

  • Ages 14-17
  • July 6-10, July 13-17, 2020

  • 3:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $225

As a continuation of Beginning Shakespeare, participants will advance their basic knowledge by learning a wider and deeper study of Shakespeare's poetry, stage combat and acting techniques. The campers will gain practical experience in working on Shakespearean text, as well as playing plenty of games. Advance scenes will be assigned and studied for a virtual closing performance.


Acting and Theatre Making

  • Ages 8 - 17
  • July 20-24, July 27-31, 2020 

  • 3:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

  • Cost: $225

The participants will explore acting techniques, exercises, improvisation, musical theatre, and devising processes in producing  live theatre and becoming a theatre maker. Campers will work on contemporary text as actors and learn how to make their own work. 


The Globe Package

  • Ages 18 and over
  • Information session on Facebook, Monday, July 20 at 11am. Recorded for later viewing
  • July 23-24 through mid August, 2020 

  • Time arrangement for individual campers

  • Cost: $200

Two 30 minute monologue coaching sessions with a professional
One hour long career specific mentorship session: This will be catered around our participants. For example, If someone wants to focus their career on theatre acting we can have them talk to Ross Helwig, or if they want to go into teaching maybe they talk to Michael Arndt, or if interested in Grad School maybe Lauren Zbylski, etc.
